How To Get Involved
Much depends on what you are looking for from the Club. Some people joining as a family maybe quite happy just to play amongst themselves or with friends. Others may want coaching and still others again may want to meet other members to get games. Perhaps the best way to get started is to chat over what you would like to do with John Sprague on 01548 843044 and he can advise or indeed sort out an initial game or two for you. We also have regular club sessions which can be a good way to meet people.
Non playing partners, family and friends of members are very welcome to come and watch and to come to our programme of social events.
Out of County Members
It is important that these members are as much part of the Club as the locals. You are eligible to play for our teams and if you are interested, let us know when you return your membership form. If you just wish to play social tennis let us know when you will be down and we will put you in touch with other members. This should enable both local and visiting members to arrange games. If you are still stuck for a game, ring the Membership Secretary and he will try to sort something out for you. There will also be a full list of club members and phone numbers in the clubhouse.
Matchplay and Tournaments
For the more competitively minded we run a closed tournament with a number of different events eg. mens singles, ladies singles, mens doubles, ladies doubles, mixed doubles and to give everyone a chance, both a ladies and a mixed handicap competition.
We also compete against other clubs in the South Devon Tennis League with two mixed and one mens team.
