Calendar 2009/10 Season

On the social side we will be having monthly Bar-B-Qs on the first Tuesday of each month after Club tennis which starts at 5.0pm. The first of these will be on Tuesday 5th May and as usual bring your own food and drink, all the Club provides are the barbeques and someone to light them. These have been very good in the past and only once has weather caused us to cancel. From October we will be starting the monthly suppers, usually on the first Friday of the month when the evenings are too short for barbeques.

The Club is proud to have 2 mixed teams playing in Divisions 1 and 2 of the South Hams League and a team in the Mens Division. As we have to register players fairly soon, I would be grateful if you could let me know asap if you want to play. Clearly we have a good idea of which locals want to play but in past years a fair number of Out of County members have played in the teams. If you would like to play we also need to know when you will be in Salcombe so that we can fit you in.

The Club Tournament will run through July and August with Finals Day on Sunday 13 September and I will be calling for entries soon so that we can get things started for 1 July. Although we do not have a separate Junior tournament, juniors are very welcome to compete in the main tournament and several did so last year. The events in the Tournament are Ladies and Men's Singles and Doubles, Mixed Doubles, Handicap Mixed and Ladies Doubles I am always open to any suggestions for other events!
